The wake up

So recently I have been content to take a back seat and use very little of my brain while watching tv shows on end.

I have always found that TV at some point has decreased my ability to focus on work, and it is in part to blame for me not doing better in high school. Am I going to sue the TV industry? NO. But I did watch a movie, among the wealth of pop culture, called Wake Up.

I certainly did, the ability to put facts together to create a bigger picture was interesting. It does give a form of an explanation for so many events around the world.

Should one take drastic actions and attempt to save the world? No, first watch it and let it simmer. Just like a coke commercial makes your thirsty right after, think about it for a bit.

I promise that it will be interesting and worth those two hours you could be spending watching gossip girl.

A HUGE update

Ok so,

First and foremost, the forumla for books to be translated to movies has caused me great annoyance due to the fact that the movie industry now beleives no original ideas can be sourced and they must refer to perfectly content novels for movies. I thought this would pretty much be the last nail in the coffin for the idea of kids reading books.

However! as I am steretypically writing this in a coffee shop a young kid reads a harry potter book across from me. Well i suppose all is not lost. And low and behold a couple is sitting, having a coffee and reading books... well i guess we can expect a literate australian public at least.

Now on to the retail industry which I have left. Having taken a break from a retail environment I am astonished how little jobs are on offer when the staff are so terrible. Two examples spring to mind:

The first of a mobile phone retailer, in which i tried a phone and after giving me the phone the employee began with.. i don't really know much about it, but you can play around with it. And it runs a new software called "Android". Now this is the HTC magic, and I being the tech junkie could entertain him for hours on it.. but decided to play a bit dumb. Funnily enough that was the extent of our conversation. Keep in mind this phone was a big deal for the network, given they were given exclusivity along with another network. I mean how can these people be employed, if they dont know about the product they are selling.

The second is a clothing store, where my girlfriend was looking for a dress. She was shocked at the impolite people who worked there. THey were not helpful at all, nor were they considerably nice to my better half. She felt like she was disturbing them having a chat. I came to ask a question of who i thought worked there, as they were talking to the staff for an hour or so, but she was not an employee, and my girlfriend, a prospective customer, was left to do everything herself. Not only that, when I asked if i could sit somewhere, she told me there was nowhere.. but i could sit on the windowsill, which was in a differnet section. Luckily we found a dress at the store "Sheike" who i can confidently say are great are treated us very well.

Now recently, being temporarily out of work, I have a prospective position with Apple, I have been surfing the web, checking out teh mobile phone spectrum of choices. I've decided to start a tech blog, but one that has videos and puts things into perspective. I mean I have gone to this countless websites.. which are very tech savy and I find very informative, but I want to make a source for everyone. One of the major things I want to emphasize is common sense in the mobile phone industry. For example, take the iPhone 3GS, fantastic piece of technology, however making something your ringtone if it isnt one of hte defaults could be alot easier. And this is something that alot of people like to change monthly or even weekly.

Anywho.. my speel has gone on for a while. So till next time. Just be awesome!

Enough is enough

Ok

So recently with me working for a phone company for about a year and a half and investing more time in upcoming technolgies I have decided to rant if you will.

I hate the iPhone.

It is everything that is annoying about the world. People are constantly going to whats trendy, what new, they never both seeking anything. Everything must be handfed to them like little kids.

I had a discussion with a couple friends and they were enthused about using the net, or playing games on the iphone, beleiveing this could not be done on any other device.

the iPhone is a good product, the large touchscreen and easy accessibility are great tools, but they are doing to phones what they did the iPod. Causing people to conform to devices that may not be the best, just fashionable.

A 3G phone without video calling, MMS messaging and a with only a 2 megapicel camera is appalling for a phone. But because of the advertising, the iPhone remains immesly popular.

You know what though, its not the iPhone's fault, its not even Apple's fault. It's time for brands to understand what they need to do, kick them into gear.

Touch screen has become popular, but its not the greatest thing ever, Blackberry Bold and the Nokia E71 have had great reviews. SO the querty is still very much in play. Brands are going in leaps and bounds in terms of technology, the HTC Touch HD, and the Android phones are very intuitative, Android is becoming a smart and effective UI.

However, brands are taking the wrong root, SOny Ericsson, having never made a PDA, have released the xperia, with windows mobile 6.1. WHY? WHy on earth would they do that. Sony Ericsson are loved for their constistent easy and effective UI. Its why most people choose to stay with it, the call log and shortcut buttons shit over alot of fancy crap. Why not intergrate it, or even like HTC make their own mask, and the panel interface from what I have heard is simply slow and irritating and looks too much like Mac Spaces.

I am looking forward to the IDou and W995, as well as the HTC Android phones, but I will still love Sony Ericsson and continue to hope.

A rerun flashack

Ok, So some times has gone past, some grass has grown, some friends were made, and some things have changed.

So I have been taken off the market, temporarily, by a minx of a women. Funnily enough my opinion of women has chaged. They don't seam as foreign and my years of expereince of being the girl's best friend have seamed to pay off. The trials and trivulations of women seam easy to handle now that have a small insight in the mind of the fairer race.

I can't really say I've been this happy, its great as well as uncanny how amazing she is. I have also found myself attracted to girls who can dance, call it my mediterranean roots, or my love music but I have found a dancer. With eyes hat can melt me, I find myself more helpless, yet at the same time more content every day.

However, I often find looking back and trying to perceive what could have bee going through my head when I had met this gorgeous thing why I didn't catch on but instead seamed to play a bizarre game of hide and seek. Strange way of putting it, but thats the easiest way to explain it in a term. I guess we can only see our mistakes as way to change, but this does not stop from the constant questioning.

At this time, I think my girl is getting restless, so its time to tune out. Later.
